As soon as it was installed in 2010, Friesen Bike Park received many thrilled cyclists.The layout consists of a Park with more than a dozen modules on the lower part of the site and a pump track located on the top of the slope. Two facilities to suit all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Heimersdorf bike park has 41 jumps spread over 4 tracks with four different difficulty levels. The green trail has 11 jumps, the blue track 10 jumps, the red track 11 jumps and the black track 9 (large) jumps.
The bike park is intended for family use while providing a facility that satisfies teenagers wishing to progress via more difficult structures.
It consists of various wooden modules, variants and play areas on the tracks. The modelling of 400 tons of topsoil was needed to create a starting hill, jumps, banked turns, etc.
The work was entrusted to the companies E2S and Mountain Concept led by former high-level bikers.
The bike park is suitable for mountain biking and BMX.
"Discover nature in the Rhine valley on a new kind of bike, the electrically assisted pedal cycles available for hire locally. It is also possible of course to hire conventional bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, tandems, trailers for children and animals... Long-distance cyclists can find all they need to repair their bikes or recharge the batteries of their e-bikes.
You will also find plenty of places where you can have a quick snack. "
The Sundgau is equipped with avast mountain bike area that includes 33 circuits with over700 km of marked routes and is uncontestably a choice site formountain biking. It includes:
- 5 green circuits: easy circuits of less than 10km on beautiful trails, suitable for families and beginners.
- 15 blue circuits: easy routes from 11 to 22 km.
- 9 red routes: difficult circuits that require good mountain biking skills.
- 4 black circuits: very difficult circuits that combine steep slopes and long distances.
