Fishing opportunities in the Sundgau are many and varied. There's something for everyone!
This territory with its innumerable ponds (more than 800) is also the starting point of the spine of Alsace: the river Ill, without forgetting one of its tributaries, the Largue where the practice of fishing is possible with a weekly or daily holiday pass. The Rhine-Rhone canal completes this eclectic offer at the heart of a rich and protected natural setting.
In parallel, local fishing associations offer fishing in the various ponds referenced below. In Sundgau there are also specific fishing spots such as Courtavon Pond where no-kill sport fishing is practiced.
The departmental fishing federation offers a holiday pass that will allow you to fish for 7 days or just one day throughout the public area of the Upper Rhine.
You also have the opportunity to fish along our tourist trout fishing trail, open all year. A specific day pass is available from the Sundgau Tourist Information Centre or at AAPPMA Sud Alsace.
