Path of Sacred Art in Alsace - Exhibition Salut Vrai corps
The Sacred Art Path was born from a wonderful intuition: to hold exhibitions of contemporary art in certain remarkable churches in Alsace, Haut and Bas-Rhin with artists who create for the place as additional pretexts to visit our churches. These artists are accompanied in their project by the person responsible for the Sacred Art Path, today Laurence Levard.
Two years are often necessary for this preparation. It is a spiritual and artistic journey which is offered to the visitor by the artist with a given theme as a common thread, supported by a biblical quote.
For more than 26 years, nearly 100 tourists have followed this string of exhibitions with interest, whether they are Alsatians, French tourists or foreigners, particularly Germans who are enthusiastic about this route.

The exhibition - Stephan Herrgott (painting)
Stéphan Herrgott develops a pictorial expression in the direction of free figuration and lyrical abstraction. It immerses the viewer in recognizable atmospheres where very strong energy and a lot of serenity coexist.
“Water is the essential driving force in my creation and my painting technique. It is she who conveys the pigments in a natural way, I do not control her, I tame her and by trusting her she becomes my essential ally to transcribe all these emotions in the face of nature, of humans. » Subtle balance between intimacy and discovery, in his works he addresses the theme of connection, of encounter. He also reveals in his work this permanent duality between presence and absence.
“My painting is my word, my 4 colors my alphabet, white my punctuation, doubt my syntax”.
If some of his paintings also evoke this complex relationship between beings, others are very imbued with the intensity of our environment or travel.
Opening June 8 at 19 p.m.
