Live Session ARC@Ferrette - JAZZ - "Dada Quartet

The group brings together four renowned musicians from the French and international jazz scene:
- Frédéric BOREY – saxophone
- Leo Montana – piano
- Damien VARAILLON – double bass
- Stéphane ADSUAR - drums
The repertoire of the "DADA Quartet" revisits and reinvents works by composers associated with the Dadaist period (early 20th century), such as Cyril Scott, Erik Satie, and Francis Picabia, in a dialogue between composition and improvisation. The Dada movement (also called Dadaism) was an intellectual, literary, and artistic movement of the early 20th century. 
Artists who identify with this movement seek to achieve the greatest freedom of expression, a greater freedom of lyrical and eclectic language.

The Friday evening Live Session is the opening moment for the public of a five-day musical research project that the four musicians will spend in Ferrette.
What is a Live Session?
It is an unprecedented musical sharing with artists who come specifically to Ferrette to benefit from the material conditions with sound and image professionals and a concept of meeting with the public.
It is not quite a concert because the artists allow themselves to interrupt their performance if they feel there is a misinterpretation, … an error that only they know, …given the live recording (sound and images).
It's not quite a recording studio because the audience is present and can react – interact – according to the emotions felt.
In addition, at the end of each performance, the artist/group will come to interact with the spectators for an informal and friendly exchange.
