Hirtzbach deserves an in-depth visit. The castle, the English park and the opulent residences of Unterdorf line up wisely on either side of the stream, with beautifully flowered banks in summer. Along the way, a country and forest escapade leads to the site of the disappeared village of Sankt-Glückern and to the Landfürstenweyer, the Princes' Pond, with still water.
