Access by car
The Sundgau is bordered by several French and German motorways, the closest of which is the A36 motorway (Bourgogne-Mulhouse). To access the Sundgau from Lyon and Paris, take exit 14 (Bessoncourt) and follow the direction of Basel (D419). Exit 15 (Burnhaupt) is ideal for drivers coming from Germany or the rest of Alsace. It is located to the north of the Sundgau and provides direct access to Altkirch (D466) or Dannemarie (D103).
Motorists coming from Switzerland and Austria will exit at the Saint-Louis / Huningue exit on the A35 after Basel. Just follow the direction of Altkirch by the D419 or Ferrette road depending on your destination.
