Access by car

Sundgau is bordered by several French and German motorways, the closest of which is the A36 motorway (Bourgogne-Mulhouse). To access Sundgau from Lyon and Paris, take exit 14 (Bessoncourt) and follow the direction of Bâle (D419). Exit 15 (Burnhaupt) is ideal for motorists coming from Germany or the rest of Alsace. It is located north of the Sundgau and allows direct access to Altkirch (D466) or Dannemarie (D103).

Motorists coming from Switzerland and Austria will exit at the Saint-Louis / Huningue exit on the A35 after Basel. Just follow the direction of Altkirch by the D419 or Ferrette road depending on your destination.

The car remains the most practical way to discover our region. Several car rental companies offer their services through the Sundgau or directly from Bâle-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport.
