This region, with its countless ponds—more than 800—is also the starting point of Alsace's backbone: the Ill River, not to mention one of its tributaries, the Largue, where fishing is permitted with a weekly or daily permit. The Rhône-Rhine Canal further enhances this diverse offering, all set within a generous and unspoiled natural environment.
At the same time, local fishing associations offer you to fish in different ponds listed below.
Sundgau is also specific fishing routes as the Courtavon lake where no-kill sport fishing is practiced.
The departmental fishing federation offers you a weekly or daily card which will allow you to fish for 7 days or just one day on the entire public domain of the Haut-Rhin.
Finally, you have the opportunity to fish on our tourist trout fishing trail, open all year round. A specific day permit is available at the Sundgau Tourist Office or at the AAPPMA Sud Alsace.
