Glaserberg snowshoe trails
January 9, 2020 at 9:00 am: There is currently no snow in Winkel. Thesnowshoe routes are not marked. The toboggan run and cross-country ski routes are closed. The snow information will be updated as soon as the snow appears.
The town of Winkel and the Sundgau Tourist Office welcome you to a place called "La Charrière" where you can enjoy two marked snowshoe circuits:
- a ROSE circuit with a length of 3 km , ideal for family practice. This little route is done in 1h / 1h30 and presents no difficulty. It partly follows the circuit of Moroccans set up in memory of a regiment of Moroccan tirailleurs stationed in Winkel during the Second World War.
- Un ORANGE circuit with a length of 6 km for 2h30 / 3h of walking.This very beautiful course will lead you successively to the Allee des Hêtres, at the Neuneich pass to finish at the top of the Glaserberg. Magnificent panoramas of the Alsatian and Swiss Jura will enhance this route along the route.
Walking times are given as an indication. Depending on your walking pace, they can vary. Thanks for taking it into account.
The town of Winkel welcomes you to its Nordic site located at a place called "La Charrière". From this car park, you can take advantage of:
5 Nordic hiking trails (not groomed) for cross-country skiing or cross-country skiing. These circuits are marked and have distances of 2,5 km-4,5 km-5 km-7km-8km. The tracks are made in ski by volunteers from the first snow.
Warning, the site does not lend itself to the practice of skating because the circuits are not groomed.
Need to rent skis or snowshoes? "Diebolt cycles " in Hirsingue offers a wide choice of Nordic equipment. Snowshoe rental costs 6 € for half a day and 8 € for a day. sticks are included.
